The third edition of Darba Waħda, the Valletta 2018 intergenerational project, kicks off at the end of September and registration is now open.

Darba Waħda brings together the elderly with children over a creative platform engaging in fun activities such as drama, storytelling, games and exercises, music, arts and crafts. Throughout the sessions, participants learn from each other, exercise their creativity, develop news skills, experience self-development and have fun in a safe, creative environment.

Led by applied drama practitioner Anna Formosa, Darba Waħda promotes a sense of community and well-being.

The free sessions run from the end of September to December. Registration is open to children aged nine to 12 and adults over 60 hailing from the following localities: Marsascala, Żejtun, Żabbar, Siġġiewi, Żebbuġ, Birkirkara, Żurrieq, Qrendi, Safi, Mqabba and Kirkop.

Those interested in participating can sign up at their respective local council. Localities will be grouped together and transport to and from the venue will be provided.

Sessions will take place as follows: Birkirkara at the Birkirkara local council hall on Mondays; Marsascala, Żejtun and Żabbar at the Żabbar local council hall on Wednesdays; Żurrieq, Qrendi, Safi, Mqabba and Kirkop at the Kirkop local council hall on Thursdays; and Siġġiewi and Żebbuġ at the Siġġiewi local council hall on Fridays.
