I had a dream (quite strange) about the selection of a candidate for the post of President of Malta. At a rectangular table were Tony Zarb, Toni Abela and Ronnie Pellegrini on one side, Ian Refalo, Leo Brincat and Eddy Privitera opposite.

At one point, the President walks in, accompanied by her husband holding envelopes and slips of paper to be given out to the prospective candidates.

The President puts a large basket full of bananas in the centre of the table, next to a box with a slot on the top. The box was marked MCCF and the prospective candidates were asked to make a contribution.

Every man around the table had to write his name and that of another (no more) on a slip of paper that was also provided. When all was done, the slips of paper were put into a Panama hat and handed over to Anġlu Farrugia to count the votes…

I woke up at that point.
