The leader of the Opposition keeps inventing new ways to try and undermine the people’s trust in our Prime Minister and his government. His latest one was his description of the Labour Party as “ the party of the rich” while the Nationalist Party, according to Simon Busuttil, has become (so it wasn’t until Busuttil took over ) “the party of the workers and those in need”.

I have had occasions in the past to refer to similar statements by Busuttil as “talk is cheap”.

He proved me right once again when he sided with the ‘millionaire’ owners of fish farms and, hence, against the interests of the Maltese people who cannot stomach seeing one of our most precious natural resources, the beautiful sea that surrounds our island, being raped by these fish farms, thus threatening not just their joy when they go to the beach but also our tourism industry on which countless thousands of our people depend for their livelihood.
