Federico Tamiozzo will deliver a talk entitled Le ville venete di Andrea Palladio this evening.

Andrea di Pietro della Gondola, known as Palladio, was a 16th-century architect active in the Republic of Venice and admired throughout the world. He even went on to develop his own style, with his buildings referred to as Palladian villas. He is considered to be one of the most influential individuals in the world of architecture.

This talk is one in a series called Magic Box organised by the Italian Cultural Institute. The series presents a different topic on the second Tuesday of each month and this year’s programme will come to an end in December.

Wine and treats follow the talk, with guests encouraged to mingle and practise their Italian. Entrance is free.

The talk is being held at the Italian Cultural Institute Hall in Valletta at 6.30 pm.

One of the Palladian villas, Villa Foscari (1550-1560), also known as La Malcontenta, near Venice.
