Hospice Malta is organising a midnight walk in support of its patients and their families on Friday.
The walk follows two routes, both of which leave from Buġibba’s main square at 11pm. The one-hour walk (four kilometres) follows a circular route to Qawra, ending back in the square. The two-hour walk (nine kilometres) follows the same route but veers off at a point to continue on to the main square of Mosta.
Transport from Mosta to Buġibba is being provided for those participating in the second walk. It will leave Mosta square at 9pm sharp and must be booked by tomorrow.
Activities start at 9pm in the main square of Buġibba. Cheeramigos will provide animation for children with live Disney characters and the possibility to take pictures with them. At 9.45pm Phyllisienne Brincat’s Vocal Academy will take to the stage. This will be followed by a warm-up Zumba class at 10.15pm. At 10.50pm silence will be observed to remember loved ones who passed away after a battle with cancer.
Participants are encouraged to seek sponsorships, with fantastic prizes lined up for the three who collect the most.
Registration for the walk, against a donation of €10 per person, can be done online at http://hospicemalta.org/midnight-walk-application or by contacting Hospice Malta on 7900 9616 or fr@hospicemalta.org.
