It's been a tough few weeks for Ryan Lochte.

After being publicly shamed and dumped by many of his sponsors for having been caught out lying, the US swimmer has been rushed by anonymous protesters while performing on TV show 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Lochte was listening to a judge critique his dance performance when two men from the audience got onto the stage and approached Lochte. According to reports, others in the audience were chanting anti-Lochte chants.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba repeatedly yelled "Excuse me!" as the men approached, and the station subsequently cut to a commercial break.

Both men were stopped by security guards and arrested for trespassing.

The protesters did not appear on live footage of the event, but video shot by audience members (see video above) showed the moment the two men made their way towards Lochte.
