Two men were hospitalised this morning following a traffic accident involving a pedestrian, motorcycle and car.

A 31-year-old St Paul's Bay resident was crossing the road at Triq il-Perit Duminku Mintoff, Paola when he was hit by a 41-year-old Fgura man driving a motorcycle at around 7.30am.

The impact led the motorcyclist to crash into a car being driven by a 47-year-old woman living in San Ġwann.

Both the pedestrian, a Somali national, and motorcyclist were taken to hospital. No information about their condition was immediately available.

This was the second traffic accident involving a pedestrian being hit by a motorcyclist in less than 12 hours. Late yesterday, an 81-year-old Cospicua man was critically hurt after he was hit by motorcyclist in Żabbar.
