Young performers aged 12 to 15 are being invited to perform in Pietru u l-Lupu, part of this year's Żigużajg festival.

This is a contemporary Maltese adaptation of the renowned classic Peter and the Wolf. With Profokiev’s original score, this version promises to take young audiences on an exciting journey into Peter's imagination as he meets four mischievous animals. The piece will be directed and written by Ruth Borg.

The event is being organised by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, the Malta Youth Orchestra and Żigużajg Festival for Children and Young People in collaboration with Studio 18.

Auditions will be held tomorrow (September 13) at Spazju Kreattiv Valletta between 9am and 2pm. Those auditioning are required to be confident in both acting and dancing and also fluent in Maltese.

Chosen candidates will get the opportunity to perform with the national orchestra and for a large audience at the Catholic Institute. There are seven roles to be cast.
