The Office of the Prime Minister had sunk to its lowest levels and was “in denial of the truth” to claim it had no indication of any Libyan officials having used official channels to express concerns about the medical visas scandal, Alleanza Bidla said.

In a statement this afternoon, Alleanza referred to a government statement replying to a news conference it gave in the morning during which it said at least five Libyan ministers were willing to reveal details of the alleged medical visas scandal but "could not",

“If, as it states, the Maltese government holds very good relationships with the Libyan authorities then it should, with immediate effect, accept all three Libyan government’s formal and diplomatic requests to appoint Hussein Musrati as their combined & sole representative in Malta,” it said.

It added that the government was instead recognising someone who was rejected by all three governments of Libya.

Alleanza also said it had documentation to support its claims regarding the visas.
