ELLUL. On September 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, ERSILIA from Żurrieq residing in Gudja, aged 84, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Ernest and his wife Mathilda, Carmel and Denise, her grandson Gavin, her brothers and sisters-in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Friday, September 9, at 2.30pm for the Santa Maria parish church in Gudja where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja Cemetery. FARRUGIA. On September 9, Sr MARIA FARRUGIA, FMM, aged 83, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her sisters of the convent of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, Balzan. She leaves to mourn her loss her congregation, her sisters Emma Camenzuli, Doris Athanasio and Olympia Bartolo, nephews and nieces and their families, cousins and numerous friends in Malta and Australia where she was a missionary for 41 years. The funeral Mass will be said tomorrow, Saturday, September 10 at 10am at the convent chapel, Balzan. The family would appreciate if, instead of flowers, donations in her name be sent to Hospice Malta, Balzan. The family would also like to thank the nuns and staff of the convent and the staff at Hospice Malta for their care. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

On August 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, WALTER ANTHONY of Birkirkara, residing at Casa Arkati, Mosta, at the remarkable age of 100, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church.
