Flamini: Crystal Palace have signed midfielder Mathieu Flamini on a one-year contract, the Premier League club announced yesterday. The 32-year-old, who joined Palace on a free transfer, has made over 200 appearances in two spells with Arsenal. He was without a club since leaving the Gunners at the end of last season.

McCarthy: Everton’s James McCarthy will be out of action for three weeks after the midfielder underwent surgery for a groin complaint, manager Ronald Koeman said yesterday. On a more positive note for Koeman, right-back Seamus Coleman, who has not featured in the Premier League this season after picking up an ankle injury in pre-season, is likely to return for Monday’s away game at Sunderland.

Remy: Crystal Palace striker Loic Remy has been ruled out of tomorrow’s visit to Middlesbrough with a thigh injury, manager Alan Pardew confirmed yesterday. Remy, who suffered the injury during training on Monday, is yet to feature in the Premier League this season. “Unfortunately, Loic got injured on Monday and the seriousness of that, I don’t know. But he’s not going to be involved this weekend, so it’s a bit of a blow,” Pardew told Sky Sports.

Shaqiri: Xherdan Shaqiri will miss Stoke City’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow. Shaqiri, who is struggling to recover from a calf injury, has not played since scoring in Stoke’s 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough on the opening weekend.

Lega Pro: Group B – AlbinoLeffe vs Alma Juventus 1-1.
