The Malta International Theatre Festival opens today with workshops on acting and Maltese folk tales.

Malin B. Erikson from Sweden will be leading a masterclass in acting at 9am while, at 11.30am, Ruben Zahra will be discussing the transposition of cultural heritage to a contemporary platform in a lecture entitled Ħrejjef – Maltese Folk Tales.

Both events take place at the Malta Drama Centre in Blata l-Bajda.

Tickets can be bought from www.showshappening.com. The workshop ticket entitles the bearer to attend all workshops and talks scheduled during the festival.

The festival is being held in collaboration with Arts Council Malta and the Directorate for Lifelong Learning within the Ministry of Education.
