The ongoing Malta FA council meeting at the Centenary Hall has been overshadowed by a controversy over seating arrangements.

The MFA's decision to introduce a seating plan has not gone down well with some officials of Premier League clubs who refused to take their assigned seat, insisting instead on sitting at the back like they have done until today.

This situation led Keith Perry, president of Sliema Wanderers, Adrian Delia, the president of Birkirkara, Stephen Abela and Dione Borg, the secretaries of Hibernians and Floriana, to leave the hall after being told by MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo that the seating plan had to be adhered to.
