Gozitan band DCapitals will be performing in a live open-air concert at the Gozo Citadel on Sunday.

This 15-piece band was founded in August 2014 and is quite versatile in its musical repertoire, which includes pop, rock, jazz and swing music. It is primarily made up of wind instruments and also includes string bass, percussion and keyboards. The majority of the band’s musicians are from Gozo’s capital city of Victoria, which explains the name.

Sunday’s concert will feature renowned local singers Nadine Axisa and Ludwig Galea along with the band’s resident singers Fabian Galea, Jolene Samhan and Francesca Sciberras. The concert is under the direction of the band’s conductor, George Apap.

The event kicks off at 8pm at the Ċittadella ditch. Entrance is free with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

The concert is one of the main events closing off the inaugural season of the newly-refurbished citadel and is being organised by #CITTADELLAGOZO within the Ministry for Gozo.

The event is supported by the Malta Tourism Authority, Farsons, GDA, Azzopardi Enterprising Ltd, Chip&Dale, Ta’ Dirjanu and Mojo’s.
