Fort St Angelo will be open for visitors on Thursday, Victory Day, Heritage Malta said.

The upper part of the fort, managed by the Knights of Malta will also be accessible to the public.

A number of activities will also be organised on the day.

Two Masses will be celebrated at the Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and the Chapel of St. Anne at 9.30am and noon respectively. At 10.30am a Victory Day memorial ceremony will be held next to the memorial of the Great Siege.

Two guided tours, in Maltese and English, will be held at 11.00am and 3.00pm. Throughout the day, the re-enactment groups, Compagnia San Michele and Show of Arms, together the Malta Historical Fencing Association, will hold shows.

In the afternoon visitors can also view the traditional regatta in Grand Harbour.

Fort St. Angelo will open between 9am and 6.30pm, last admission at 6.00pm, for €2 per person.  event and other events organised by Heritage Malta can be obtained from the agency’s website, www.heritagemalta.org, or from Facebook official page.
