The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Mcast) is offering for the first time a Master of Business Administration (MBA) for the Small Business and a Master in Business Informatics, the latter in collaboration with Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland.

The two MQF Level 7 master degree programmes will run on a part-time basis, with lectures taking place on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

This MBA programme focuses on the theoretical knowledge, application-oriented experiences, and identification of innovation possibilities and growth potentials of small businesses or strategic business units. It comprises 10 modules and a final master’s dissertation.

Over 360 part-time Mcast courses will also start in October. Anyone over 16 may apply for the courses which cover a wide range of skills

Students may opt to exit the programme after accumulating 30, 60 or 90 ECTS credits, entitling them to a postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or the MBA.

The Master of Business Informatics programme is jointly designed by Haaga-Helia - University of Applied Sciences and Mcast. It focuses on information and communication systems for all kinds of organisations and the more effective management of a business based on these systems and supporting technologies.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences is Finland’s second largest university of applied science. It is an open polytechnic, owned by a foundation run by Helsinki’s business community.

Over 360 part-time Mcast courses will also start in October. Anyone over the age of 16 may apply for these courses which cover a wide range of skills.

Lessons are held in the evenings or on Saturday mornings to suit people who cannot attend full-time educational programmes due to employment, business, family or other commitments.

Young students aged 16 and over may also enroll in these courses to support their full-time education.

Details on these courses are available on the website below and in a printed booklet posted to all homes and businesses and available from local council offices or the Mcast main campus or Gozo campus.

Prospective students are to fill in the application form and submit it online or mail it to the Office of Part-Time Courses, Mcast main campus, Corradino Hill, Paola PLA 9032, or hand it in at the Mcast main campus, by Friday, September 9.
