The Maltese Moroccan Community is hosting a festival to highlight and celebrate diversity.

Beautiful World: Unity through Integration will be held today from 6pm to 11pm in the main square of Buġibba.

There will be a number of traditional and informative stalls together with a main stage that will host a programme of performances, including a live rock concert by Chris and Moira at 9pm.

This event is being organised to promote the value of integration. The organisers believe that every individual of any nationality has rights and responsibilities and that it is necessary to provide platforms for participation as well as promote information about the various realities present around us.

Between 6pm and 8.30pm an informal aperitif will take place with the local coordinators of the European project called Youth Enterprise Through Art (YEA). They will share information on opportunities for training, funding and prospects abroad that the YEA project makes possible for young people and their leaders or trainers.

The event is open to the public and entrance is free.

The festival is supported by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector’s Small Initiative Support Scheme, Youth Included, VisMedNet Association, Migrant Women Association Malta and SOS Malta.
