The hospital, as well as Gozo General and Karin Grech hospitals, have been signed to Vitals Global Healthcare.
It was chosen as the preferred bidder in June last year for the public-private partnership and will be injecting €220 million in a total revamp of the three hospitals.
Vitalis should be transforming St Luke's into a rehabilitation hospital that offer physio and hydrotherapy, occupational medical facilities, and a range of other services. It would also have a new dermatology centre, replacing the one provided at Boffa Hospital. There would also be a new Nursing School.
