The Planning Authority has donated €4000 to Caritas, having raised the funds from entrance fees of two educational initiatives held earlier this year.
Fees from the monthly Educational Sunday Biodiversity and Heritage Planning Tours and the Planning Authority's Evening lectures were donated to the charity.
The donation was presented to Caritas administrative secretary Angelo Fenech at PA staff's annual summer barbeque.
PA Executive Council chairman Johann Buttigieg said “As an organisation we are committed to support local charities to provide them with the much needed financial resource for them to continue to carry out their sterling work within the Maltese Community.”
Caritas Malta offers a number of free services and rehabilitation programmes to people in difficulty.
