Dogs called 'Lucky' are practically a dime a dozen, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better candidate than this propitious pooch.

In video of a rally car race held in Bolivia, the dog can be seen ambling down a dirt track, as a crowd waits for the rally cars to come speeding by.

The dog trots on, oblivious to the danger they're about to find themselves in.

A crowd in the distance cranes their necks as a car roars past, and the moment it careens around the corner, the mutt realises that things are looking decidedly dangerous.

The dog tries to run out of the way, but the rally car is just too fast. It looks like it's curtains for the dog, with a fatal collision imminent - until the powerful car hits a ramp that lifts it up into the air and over the terrified pooch, missing it by inches.

A policeman subsequently chases the dog in an attempt to get it off the race track. In the end, the mutt emerged unscathed.
