A sizeable group of members of the Association of Lyceum Past Students (ALPS) are currently in Canada on a two-week tour, many of them accompanied by their spouses.

ALPS president George dei Conti Stagno Navarra, who is leading the group, said that the highlight of the tour will be a grand reunion dinner at the Courtyard – Marriott Hotel in Toronto where they are meeting with at least 40 other past Lyceum students who had taken up residence and settled in Canada over the past years.

For this grand reunion tour to Canada, a lot of preparations were necessary. Working closely over the past few months with former Maltese consul general Milo Vassallo, himself a Lyceum past student, everything has fallen neatly into place for the reunion. The tour will also include visits to Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, Boston and New York.

“The tour itself promises to be truly breathtaking with very many panoramic and exhilarating views while travelling by coach through the mentioned regions. But the greatest of joys will of course be to meet and socialise with many other former students (some even coming from the US) of the best doyen school of Malta, who continue to keep the torch alight in faraway Canada. It really gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to see past Lyceum students come together, irrespective of their age, differences or the country of their residence... they remain united with one another throughout their lifetime,” said Mr Stagno Navarra.
