• The manufacturer is primarily responsible for the damages caused by defective products.
• Consumers can claim compensation for any injury and damage suffered due to defective goods.
• Compensation for damages may be sought within a maximum period of three years from when consumers become aware of the defect, damage and identity of the producer.
• Consumers should read and observe warnings about possible dangers if products are used incorrectly.
• Legal action is limited to 10 years from when the product is first put in circulation.
