Last February, someone crashed into a bus shelter in Triq Katerina Vitale, Santa Luċija and the result can be clearly seen in the photo.

Now we are in August, six months after it was badly damaged and it remains an eyesore – reminding us of how maintenance works on this island are carried out. It is also a dangerous spot, especially for children.

Transport Malta is responsible to see that bus shelters are kept in shape and serve their purpose. Why does it take so long to have a bus shelter replaced or fixed?

I believe the Santa Luċija local council has pushed Transport Malta to do its job; the job every taxpayer is paying it to exercise in an efficient way.

I urge Transport Malta to act quickly to remove this ugly sight from our town.
