Johansen: Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen is closing in on a move to Fulham. Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the Norwegian was on his way out of Parkhead after failing to agree a contract extension. “Stefan’s going into the last year of his contract,” Rodgers said. “I have found him a really good guy. He has worked over pre-season and it’s been difficult because he’s been unable to reach an agreement with the club.

Alli: Dele Alli could return to the Tottenham side for today’s Premier League visit of Liverpool having overcome an illness. The England international was deemed only fit enough for the bench in last weekend’s win over Crystal Palace but has now recovered and could be recalled for the lunchtime kick-off.

Wilson: West Brom’s Kane Wilson could become the first player born in the 21st century to feature in the Premier League. Mannone: Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone has been ruled out for at least three months with an elbow injury and the Premier League club will target a replacement before the transfer window ends, manager David Moyes said yesterday. The 28-year-old Italian, who signed a two-year contract extension last month, picked up the injury in training on Tuesday.

Fifa Probe: FIFA investigators want Qatar Football Association vice-president Saoud Al Mohannadi to be banned for “failure to properly co-operate and provide truthful information” in an investigation. The investigators from world football’s governing body’s ethics committee have not confirmed the nature of the probe but have said it does not relate to Qatar’s 2022 World Cup bid. They have recommended that ethics judges impose a ban on Al Mohannadi of “two years and six months” for three violations of FIFA’s code of ethics.
