I would like to publicly thank the Mission Fund for its generous donation of €2,000 in aid of pastoral work in the parish of Diego de Almagro, in the desert of Atacama in Chile, where I am serving as a priest.

This village of approximately 15,000 people suffered a terrible catastrophe in March of last year.  In a place where rain is very rare, floods devastated the area and lots of people lost their houses. Some people died and others were never found.

There is practically a need of everything. Reconstruction has started but is moving at a slow pace, so aid from the Mission Fund was a real godsend. Many thanks to all the benefactors; we will surely remember you in our prayers.

Please cooperate with the Mission Fund by sending used stamps and donations so that they can keep helping missionaries in needy countries. Donations can be sent through an online bank transfer in one of the following accounts: HSBC, 061 197 448 050; BOV 163 007 980 19; APS 200 008 207 62; Banif, 000 879 631 01.

Thank you very much and God bless you all.
