Throughout July customers were invited to take empty perfume glass bottles to Franks outlets for recycling. The aim of this initiative was to lend a helping hand to the environment and promote recycling locally. Since the majority of products sold at Franks are bottled in glass, the month-long ‘Bring your own bottle’ initiative was part of a fitting environmental-friendly campaign.
The results were encouraging, with 400 bottles collected. Apart from receiving a discount on their purchase, customers participating in the initiative also entered a competition draw. The winner of the competition, Charmay Vassallo, was presented with a Trussardi Donna fragrance – one of the empty bottles she returned for recycling.
Franks has become a local household name and by setting this example, it hopes to inspire individuals and organisations alike to take green initiatives and do their small part for the environment.
