After nearly four years of Labour government, I think it would be an injustice if I, as a Sliema resident, did not put pen to paper to express my deep gratitude to il-gvern li jisma (Labour) for the most lovely period of my life.
I think I am also voicing the wishes of all Sliema residents when I thank the government for regaling us with a splendid array of tower cranes.
This has been a blessing for our local council because it is holding guided tours for so many tourists and offering interesting commentaries. This besides the pavements which are the envy of most foreigners.
I would mostly like to thank the elected Labour candidates from Sliema district for never being seen or protesting against anything that adversely affects our locality.
And, lest I forget, thanks for the towers of Babel.
Please, Mr Prime Minister why don’t you leave Burmarrad and come and enjoy all this with us Sliema residents?
Residents, please wake up. You all have a vote.
