Officials are trying to find a solution after a Rhode Island cemetery buried two men in the wrong plots, with one family wanting their loved one to stay put while the other wants their relative put in the grave they picked.

In October, a 65-year-old man was placed in the wrong family plot at Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton.

In March, an 87-year-old man who was supposed to be buried in that plot died. He was buried in the other man's plot. His family wants him to be moved to the plot they own, but the move is opposed by the 65-year-old's family.

The head of the town cemetery commission said moving them would be "ridiculous". The town solicitor said they are working on an agreement to switch the bodies.
