It is a shame that in a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen and the site of the most modern house of Parliament that is Valletta not a single public convenience is in sight.
This happened to me last Saturday afternoon when I needed to visit a public convenience. Roam as I may along Valletta’s road I couldn’t find one.
The only one was against payment and accustomed as I am not to carry money except a card I could not use it. The longer I searched the more the need was becoming desperate.
Then I had to pick up courage and asked the owner of a bar and, although he showed me the way, he did not seem to be too keen to help judging by the rude remarks he made.
I am writing this as a point of information only because I know nothing is going to be done about such a situation.
These things always fall on deaf ears. The pen is mightier than the sword no longer applies (if it ever did).
