Times of Malta says a prospective Chilean buyer of a Maltese passport denies having lied intentionally about his wealth to qualify for the government’s individual investor programme. In another story, the newspaper says Environment and Resources Authority chairman Victor Axiak denied any conflict of interest in the controversial approval of the Townsquare high-rise project, insisting he never worked as a consultant for the developers on another project.

L-Orizzont says Prof. Oliver Friggieri is calling for an academic international congress on the late Prime Minister Dom Mintoff.

In-Nazzjon quotes lawyer Ann Fenech saying that the allegation that the captain of the ship Marla, which collided in Laboratory Wharf last week, was on the phone, was "a complete fabrication".
