HSBC Bank Malta has recognised the invaluable contributions of a number of its employees.

The recipients were honoured with the Employees Excellence Awards during the bank’s annual summer event at Fort St Angelo.

HSBC Malta is one of the largest private sector employers in Malta and these awards are a major initiative within its internal engagement programme.

More than 200 employees, managers and their teams were nominated. Ivan Galea won the Customer Excellence Award; Marica Delia received the Cost Conscious Excellence Award; Raymond Bugeja won the Best Growth Initiative Excellence category; Joseph Attard won the HSBC Values Excellence Award; Patrick Pace received the Protecting Our Business Excellence Award; Maria Rapinett got the Corporate Sustainability Award; and Glen Mifsud won the Outstanding New Recruit Excellence Award category.

The Finance and Lending Services team won the Team Excellence Award. The team is made up of Dennis Gravina, Robert Ancilleri, Nathalie Abela, Doreen Cunningham, Brian Baldacchino, Andrea Gerada, Sonya Chircop, and John Heywood.

HSBC Malta CEO Andrew Beane thanked the winners and nominees: “These colleagues are a testament to the valuable work done at HSBC Malta every day. The extraordinary commitment of these employees leads the way in creating a highly positive impact not just at the bank but also in the community in which they live and work. HSBC is honoured to recognise and celebrate such individuals and teams.”
