The Office of the Commissioner for Children organised its annual children’s ‘Rights 4U’ live-in – with the support of the HSBC Malta Foundation – at Dar Manresa, Victoria. Family and Social Solidarity Minister Michael Farrugia, Children’s Commissioner Pauline Miceli and a representative from the foundation visited the participants. The Rights 4U live-in consists of an interactive programme which includes various activities through which young people not only learn about their rights but also actively explore and engage in discussions. The participants develop critical thinking skills, build social ties and implement concepts such as respect, responsibility and inclusion. The theme for this year’s live-in was that of empowering young people to engage in healthy relationships with their peers. Various professionals carried out interactive sessions addressing different aspects of relationships.
