The 12th Qormi Wine Festival will be held on September 2 and 3 from 7.30pm in Main Street, Qormi.

There will be food stalls, selling pork platters, chicken with baked potatoes, the Maltese traditional ftira, wraps, pasta and fried ravioli. Freshly baked pizza will also be served. Marsovin will be presenting its locally produced wines, including Ċittadella, La Vallette, Verdala Rose’, La Torre, 1919 and the entire Caravaggio range.

There will be a token system to purchase wines. The souvenir wine glass can be purchased for €15. This will also include 20 tokens. Additional tokens will be available at €1 each. This system will allow visitors to use the souvenir glass on both days.

Wine-tasting sessions will be on during both days of the festival. These will be held every hour between 8 and 11pm at €6. Those present will be given three wines to taste under the guidance of Marsovin wine experts.

A home-made wine competition will also be held along Main Street. Other attractions will include visits to the majestic parish church and a World War II shelter which will be open to the public.

At the shelter, the group 4Teenth Productions will present Tour du Ciel – a satirical production about popular culture in Maltese villages and local saints.

The festival is organised by the outdoor festivities committee, with the help of Qormi council and the Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries.

The location can be easily reached by public transport or by private car. Parking will be available in Valley Road.
