Dhalia Real Estate Services held a first aid training session for employees at its head office in Mrieħel. The course was provided by St John’s Ambulance and is recognised by the Malta Qualifications Council and the local Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

The course included what to do in an emergency, how to use a first aid kit and first response before the ambulance arrives. Dhalia staff learned how to treat sprains and nosebleeds as well as more serious accidents such as head wounds and choking.

Being prepared for emergency situations is the best way to protect oneself in case of an emergency. One recipient of the first aid training, Ingrid Sciberras, said: “I’m glad I was given this opportunity to learn basic first aid procedures. I’m confident that this knowledge will come in handy in case of emergency, both in a professional context as well as in daily life.”

Dhalia provides training for its employees and consultants on a variety of topics, from bank procedures to first aid. First aid training can eliminate 25 per cent of emergency room visits, giving workers the confidence to respond to life-threatening situations.
