CASSAR OLIVIER. On August 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEN, widow of Waddy, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Anne and John, her grandchildren Karla, wife of Johnathan Borg, and Michael Sultana, her precious great-grandchildren Jamie and Danny, her sisters Marica de Giorgio, Rosalie and Marie Mifsud, her sister-in-law Bridgette Cassar Borg Olivier, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, August 16, at 8am for Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Special thanks to all the staff at Casa Antonia, Balzan.
GAFFIERO. On August, 12, Tarcisio, ex-Malta Drydocks paint inspector, aged 80, passed peacefully away at his residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gemma, his children Anthony, Alex and Ivan, his grandchildren James and Elsa, his sister Josephine and brother Fr Anthony, residing in Bonn, Germany, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, August 16, at 8am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On August 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEL, former debt collector, Allied Newspapers Ltd, aged 86, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his wife Alice, née Cauchi, his children Alexander and his wife Marcette, Stephen and his wife Marika, Brian and his partner Lourdes, Moira and her husband Albert, and Darren and his wife Romina, his 10 grandchildren, relatives, former colleagues and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, August 16, at 8.15am for the Nativity of Our Lady parish church, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
