GATT. On August 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, CONCETTA, widow of Emanuel, of Zejtun, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Paul and his wife Antoinette, her stepchildren Salvino and his wife Rita, Maryrose, widow of Anthony Degabriele, and Joe of Australia, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, August 13, at 2pm for the St Gregory Cemetery chapel, Żejtun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family vault. SPITERI. On August 11, at Żurrieq, JOSEPH (Josian) of Ħamrun, aged 52, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Yvonne, his two daughters Roberta and Maryjane, his siblings Mario and Annabelle, Marthese and Victor, Lauranne and Gaetan, as well as his nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, August 13 at 2pm for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Ad-dolorata Cemetery. VELLA. On August 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEL, former debt collector, Allied Newspapers Limited, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his wife Alice, née Cauchi, his children Alexander and his wife Marcette, Stephen and his wife Marika, Brian and his partner Lourdes, Moira and her husband Albert, and Darren and his wife Romina, his ten grandchildren, relatives, former colleagues and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, August 16 at 8.15am for the Nativity of Our Lady parish church, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.
