A British woman who made an appeal for information after her son failed to return from his holiday in Malta said this afternoon he had been found.

Police confirmed earlier that the search is on for Craig Spooner who was due on a flight back home on Monday.

"He never showed up for it and nobody has heard from him, please share," his mother Tracy Bowman appealed on Facebook. 

But this afternoon she said on Facebook: "Message off one of Craig's friends to say he's fine he's been staying with him and has no phone or internet so has no idea the fuss he's caused. Police are still to confirm but so far fingers crossed thank you to everyone."
