One of the oldest roads in Safi that once connected Kirkop and Safi to Birżebbuġa is still with no name. Along this road one can find two historical places: the Roman tower known as Tal-Ġawhar and the garden of Sir Alexander Ball.

I can’t understand why, after all these years, the Safi local council and Transport Malta are still refusing to name this road, which once was known to everyone as Triq Birzebbuġa. Recently, a parallel road was named as Sqaq Il-Karwijja after two cars collided there.

I hope the Safi local council will name this road without further delay.
