The Dance Workshop held its Summer Intensive event at the end of the academic year.
The week-long workshop consisted of daily ballet class, followed by a contemporary class, hip hop or modern dance. The aim was to give students a taste of vocational dance training.
The children had also a daily drama class at the end of their classes, held by Malcolm Galea. Seniors’ classes ended with a choreographic workshop, conducted by Kostas Papamatthaiakis.
The event was one of the most successful workshops the dance company has hosted, with more than 80 students participating.
Guest tutor at the Summer Intensive was Mr Jonathan Payn, senior soloist at the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
