Mr PETER ROBBINS and Miss RODIANE BALZAN
The marriage took place on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at St Mary’s parish church, Birkirkara, between PETER, son of Mrs Josephine Robbins and the late Mr Spencer Robbins, and RODIANE, daughter of Mr Michael Balzan and the late Mrs Louise Balzan. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Stefan Attard. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Taran Arrigo, while Mr Sebastien de la Fuente and Mr Matthew Alexander were groomsmen. Mr Miguel Grima, Master Spencer Palos and Mr Conrad Zammit acted as ushers. The bride was attended by Mrs Nicole Arrigo, Mrs Julianne Attard and Mrs Jessica Palos. Miss Laura Balzan was flower-girl and Master Joshua Palos was ring bearer. Mrs Bernardette Balzan and Mr Christopher Gatt were witnesses. A reception was held at Olive Gardens, Mdina. The couple spent their honeymoon abroad.
Mr ALEXANDER THOMSON and Miss JEANETTE LANZON
The marriage, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at St Publius parish church, Floriana, is announced between ALEXANDER, son of Douglas and Louise Thomson, and JEANETTE, daughter of Philip and Joyce Lanzon. The ceremony was officiated by Fr Richard Borg and witnessed by Miss Claire Lanzon and Mr Andrea Agius. The groom was assisted by Mr Adem Kermad, Mr Marc Vella and Mr Andrea Agius. Miss Janice Lanzon, Miss Rebecca German and Miss Emily Thomson were bridesmaids and Master Thomas Saragozza and Miss Amy Saragozza were pageboy and flower-girl respectively. A reception followed at the Madliena Lodge, Swieqi. The couple are taking up residence in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Obituary
ZAMMIT. On August 5, CARMEN, widow of Emmanuel, aged 86, went to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss her 11 children Charles, Rita, Margaret, Mario, Raymond, Noel, Ursula, Eugenio, Miriam, Hector and Jacqueline and their spouses, her 31 grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchildren. The funeral cortège leaves Karin Grech Hospital tomorrow, Monday, August 8, at 7.30am for Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Żabbar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
