• A blood donation session will be held today from 8am till 1pm at Gozo General Hospital’s Outpatients Department.

• The feast of St Joseph will be held in Qala today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrated Mass at 9am. Għarb archpriest Joseph Sultana, will deliver the panegyric. Precursur Band of Xewkija will perform mar­ches at noon. Mgr Law­renz Xerri will lead vespers at 6.30pm. A procession with the saint’s statue starts at 7.20pm. It will be led by Fr Massimo Buttigieg and accompanied by Ite ad Joseph band. The parish clergy and St Joseph Fraternity of Qala will participate. Mnarja Band will give a concert on the main square. A fireworks display will be held at 10.30pm.

• Fr Massimo Buttigieg will lead a concelebrated Mass at Qala parish church tomorrow at 7pm to mark the 45th anniversary of the coronation of the St Joseph titular painting.

• A Bible study meeting will be held tomorrow at 7.30pm at St Anthony church, Għajnsielem.

• Il-Fergha Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will hold an hour of adoration on Thursday from 9am to 10am at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria. Holy rosary will be recited at 8.45am. Everyone is invited.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Ta’ Ħamet) church, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass.

• Assumptafest, an open-air musical concert by Santa Marija Philharmonic Society of Żebbuġ, directed by Mro Joseph Grech, organised together with the local council, will be held on August 17, at 8.30pm on the village’s Pjazza l-Assunta.

• The 14th Delicata Classic Wine Festival will be held on August 19, 20 and 21 from 7pm onwards at Ġnien il-Kunsill, Our Lady of Fatima Street, Nadur. Entrance is free.

• The Gozo CCU Foundation will hold a barbecue on August 20 at 7.30pm at Cornucopia Hotel, Xagħra, to raise money to purchase life-saving equipment. For tickets call Carmen on 7956 6496, Tracy 9936 1268 or William on 7956 3838.

• A sacred art exhibition entitled Mater Misericordiae is being held at Dar Karmni Grima, Għarb, until August 21. It is open on Sundays from 9am to 12.30pm and Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

• A collective painting, photography and ceramics art exhibition is currently on display at the Cittadella Cultural Centre, Victoria, until August 31, from 9am to 3pm.
