Nineteen senior members of staff from Identity Malta are taking part in a training course entitled ‘Aspects of civil law and practice’ organised by the University and accredited within its Programme in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (Plas).

The areas being covered include registration of birth, marriages and death, passports, citizenship, immigration, and related processes of registrations and permits.

The course follows the signing of a collaboration agreement between the University and Identity Malta whereby the former agreed to assist the agency to organise tailor-made training for its staff.

University rector Alfred Vella said such agreements enable the University to further contribute to the professional development of staff in State entities and non-governmental organisations. In fact, the University’s Centre for the Liberal Arts and Sciences has already entered into other similar agreements.
