Tonight sees the Strummin’ Band joined by singers and guitarists from the popular annual charity concert for a night of the greatest hits in pop, rock and funk music.

Band members Luke Grech, Mathias Mallia, Dean Montanaro, Joseph Axiak and Lesnich Vassallo will be playing music by Prince, James Brown, Smokie, Boston and Soft Cell, among others.

The singers joining the band are Janice Debattista, Cheryl Camilleri, Remy Azzopardi, Paul Torpiano, Mark Anthony Bartolo, Josef Tabone, Jean Claude Vancell, Daryl Ebejer and Ryan Grech.

Strummin’ is an annual fundraising concert which collects funds for local charities.

The annual concerts, which have been running for the past 15 years, bring together over 60 guitarists, a band and singers on one stage.

The concert starts at 9pm at the Quadrangle (Atriju Vassalli) of the University of Malta’s Msida Campus.

Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis for all events. The venues are accessible to wheelchair users and include free parking in Car Park 6 of the University of Malta, Msida Campus. The 24th edition of Evenings on Campus is back until Tuesday with an eclectic mix of events to enhance Malta’s summer cultural calendar.
