An 11-year-old boy picked up at least three passengers using a decommissioned bus in the German city of Ingolstadt before they noticed something was amiss. 

The boy found the key to the parked bus and decided to drive down the street and start picking up passengers, The Local reported. 

At least three passengers clambered aboard before the driver's young looks and less-than-impeccable driving skills gave the game away. 

Passengers contacted police, who stopped the young driver and took him home to his mother. 

Nobody was hurt, police said, although the bus had sustained approximately €1,000 worth of damage.
