CAUCHI. On August 3, at her residence in Qawra, BERNARDINA of Zebbug, Malta, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 70. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Mario, her daughter Catherine and her partner Josef, her sisters and brother, Lourdes, Mary and Michael, her in-laws Paul, Josephine, Angelo, Philip, Carmen and Lilian, their spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, August 5, at 3pm for St Philip’s parish church, Zebbug, where Mass, praesente cadavere, will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at St Andrew Cemetery, Zebbug. No flowers by request but donations to the Community Chest Fund will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CAUCHI. On August 4, at his residence in St Paul’s Bay, CARMEL, former waterpolo champion with Sirens Waterpolo Club, St Paul’s Bay, aged 76, went to meet the Risen Lord, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Winnie, née Casaletto, his children Marie Claire, Christopher and his wife Agnes, and Frederick and his wife Olivia, his grandchildren Cheryl, Jainee and Sam, his siblings Vivie and her husband Frans, Frank and his wife Judy, residing in Canada, Doris and her husband Carlo, Christina, widow of George Micallef, and Georgina, widow of his brother Salvu, his in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, August 6 at 7am for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment in the family grave at Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

HAINS. On July 23, WALTER of Sliema, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 76. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Clair and his daughter Oana and her husband. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, August 4 at 9.30am for the Chapel of Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery where Mass will be said at 10am followed by interment in the family grave. Lord, Grant him eternal rest.

In Memoriam

CILIA – CETTINA, née Buttigieg, 4.8.2001. Dearest Tina, though you have been gone for 15 years you are still so much alive for me as sisters carry each other in their hearts forever. We have walked through life together. You were always there for me no matter what, sharing everything. I miss you so much but I always thank God for having given me such a wonderful sister even though for a short time. I love you, your twin sister Antoinette.

CILIA – CETTINA, 4.8.2001. A dear godchild and cousin lovingly remembered by cousins Mifsud Bonnici. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ELLUL – Dr JOSEPH ELLUL, MD, of Marsascala. In loving memory of a beloved father and grandfather, today the fourth anniversary of his demise. Never forgotten and deeply missed by his children Anne Marie, Jonathan and his wife Anjelica, his grandchildren Sean, Petra, Erica and Amy, his sisters and brother. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated today at 6.30pm at St Anne’s parish church, Marsascala.

MALLIA. In ever loving memory of EMMANUEL, ex-proprietor Blue Lantern Bar, Sliema, today being the 48th anniversary of his leaving this earthly abode to meet the Risen Lord. Fondly remembered by his sons Twanny, Carmelo, the Hon. Dr Emmanuel Mallia, LL.D. and Fr Joe, ofm cap., his only daughter Grace, in-laws, nephews and nieces.

PSAILA. Today the seventh anniversary of GENNIE’s tragic accident. Fondly remembered by Pippo, Neil, Simon, the Swain and Psaila families and all her friends.

TABONE – ROSARIA (Lucy). Treasured memories of a dear mother, grandmother and sister, today being the first anniversary of her meeting the Risen Lord. Fondly remembered and never forgotten by her sons, Anthony and his wife Carmen, Godwin, Ray and his fiancée Kate, her daughter Joyce and her husband Neville, her sister Polly, nephews and nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
