A festival devoted to films written and spoken in a minority language, dialect, slang or sign language is taking place on Friday at the Splash and Fun Water Park in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.

Originating in Cagliari, Sardinia, the festival promises to be a journey across undiscovered cultures and its resonant theme is dialogue – a fundamental tool for the development of relations between people, countries and culture.

The programme includes films from Italy, Turkey, Congo, Norway, Spain, the UK, Mali, the US, Sweden, Canada and many more. All will have English subtitles.

The audience will be given the opportunity to vote for the best film.
