I would like to thank The Sunday Times of Malta for publishing my letter of July 24, in which I highlighted that when I went to amend my Schedule V as part of the Pharmacy Of Your Choice scheme, I was told that I had to wait until September for Tecfidera (to replace my Interferon injections) because this medication is controlled by a quota.

The edited version of the letter may have given readers the impression that the pharmacy that I frequent was to blame. I would like to clarify that this is not the case. It was the POYC department that told me I would not be able to have the medication before September.

The pharmacy that I frequent dispenses whatever the POYC department provides.
