Science of Love is the theme of the next Cafe Scientifique talk on August 7 in which some of the science behind the way people are attracted to each other and the changes love has on people will be discussed. Topics to be raised include the neuroscience, genetics and chemistry behind love.

Questions that will be answered include how does Oxytocin affects the brain; how socio-emotional factors affect these oxytocin levels; whether one needs more than chemicals to bond to other human beings; and whether there is a dark aspect of love people are not aware of.

The talk starts at 8pm and will be held at the Quadrangle of the University’s Msida campus. Admission is against a donation.
