50 years ago today, England were on their way to World Cup glory as Alf Ramsey's men beat West Germany 4-2 to win the Jules Rimet trophy on home soil, as 96,924 fans cheered them on. 

Half a century on, the 30 July 1966 victory remains England's only taste of footballing glory at international level.
