CAMILLERI. On July 25, Fr EMMANUEL CAMILLERI, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He is mourned by his sisters Mariross, Frances, Josephine and Georgia, his brothers Karist, John, Fr Tarcisio and Simon, spouses, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The funeral service will be held today, Friday, July 29 at 5pm at Sannat parish church. Mass will be presided over by Bishop Mgr Mario Grech. Even in death, Fr Emmanuel made a charitable gesture by donating his body to the University of Malta for scientific research. The family would like to thank the staff at San Lawrenz Nursing Home and at Gozo General Hospital for their tremendous care and support. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
FARRUGIA. On July 27, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, ISABELLA, née Tua, after a short illness bravely borne. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved husband David and her treasured sons Andrew, and Matthew and his partner Helen, her brothers and sisters, Marie Therese and her husband Maurice Zarb Adami, Robert and his wife Anna, Lucienne and her husband Anthony Borg Caruana, Richard and his wife Vicky, Arthur and his wife Claire, John and his wife Roberta, her mother-in-law Violet Farrugia, sisters-in-law Anne and her husband Philip Cassar and Tanya and her husband Ivan Esposito, aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends, especially from the sailing and tennis community. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, July 30 at 8.45am for Msida parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.15am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family thanks the doctors and nurses of Ward 1 at the Oncology Centre for their care and attention during Isabella’s illness. No flowers by request, but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
NICHOLSON. On July 16, at her residence in the UK, MARCELLE, née Agius, passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Peter, her children Adam and Petra and their partners, her beloved grandchildren Aaron, Nicole and George, her sisters Marie Rose Gardner, Marlene Hutchinson and Marita Osler and their families, her brother Austin his wife Monica, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and her many friends. TURNER. On Saturday, July 23, CARMELA (Meme), née Cortis, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow, UK. She will always be loved by her husband Leslie, her daughters Rita and her husband Peter Alford, Charmaine and her husband Len Sumner, her grandchildren Gary, Lee, Jack and Faye, her great-grandchildren, Ella, Jake, Finley, Violet, Jack and Hattie, her nephews and nieces and her many friends in Malta and in the UK. VELLA. On July 27, at her residence in Tarxien, GRACE, née Buhagiar, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Emmanuel, her daughter Lydia, her sister Stella, widow of Stephen, her brother Emmanuel, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence today, Friday, July 29 at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Divine Grace parish church, Żabbar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave of the same parish. WALKER. On July 2, ELEANOR THERISA ANGEL, aged 33, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter, her mother Josephine, widow of Michael John, her sister Melissa and her husband Sam and their children Freddie and Jessica, her brothers Jack Allen and his girlfriend Sophia, Andy Bob Allen, her sister Beverly and her boyfriend Owen, in-laws, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, August 1, at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Qrendi cemetery. People are invited not to wear black and possibly get a battery candle.
